This is telling you that your iPhone needs to be restored. Have you tried connecting it directly to a computer to start the process?

MacOS Catalina 10.15.6. I left the iPhone connected to the iMac overnight. When I checked this morning, it had reinstalled/updated the phone and everything is running again. I am not sure what caused the problem, but it appears to have Been resolved.

Nothing really happens. The phone tries to reboot (Screen goes black, then the Apple icon appears, then the cable connection screen reappears.
Yes. It has been connected to the iMac the whole time during the process.
