connecting a wireless keyboard to a refurbished iMac

I purchased a refurbished I MAc and a used wireless keyboard. How do I conncet the wireless keyboard to the I Mac? When I boot up the refurbished IMac, I get the "Welcome" screen, but have no keyboard to follow the set up instructions.

iMac Line (2012 and Later)

You need to get and use a USB keyboard (most any USB generic or pc keyboard will work) to setup the iMac and keyboard.

Hi, welcome to the Apple Users Community.

You may need to use a wired keyboard initially to get your wireless keyboard setup.
