Apple Gift Card

I have redeemed my gift card but I have another debit card on my Apple ID account that is no longer valid and the debit card has been closed, if I decide to make a purchase which one will that purchase go through?

Purchases withdraw money from your account credit first (if available) and then from your debit/credit card.
