Apple Watch Activity Tracking not accurate

I updated my apple watch to 7.0.1 and my iphone to IOS 14 and now my move ring is not tracking correctly. My calorie burn is 40% less than normal. For example, I burn approximately 500 calories in a 70 minute bike ride and today I rode harder than I normally do and my calorie burn was only 293 calories. Any thoughts as to how to fix this? I had trouble getting the activity app on the phone to sync with the watch after the watch update and now I am having this issue. Thanks for any help!

Hey there, Coffeelover729.

We understand that you updated your iPhone to iOS 14 and your Apple Watch to watchOS 7.0.1 and after that, the burnt calorie amount is less than you'd expect after a workout. You'll want to ensure your iPhone is running iOS 14.0.1. This article shows how to backup and update as seen here: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Another step that might help is to ensure the Apple Watch is set up to get the best measurements for you: Get the most accurate measurements using your Apple Watch
