My restored iPod will only sync the last song added to iTunes

I have over 1000 songs in iTunes but my newly restored iPod will sync only the last song added, and ignores the rest. Need a solution!

iPod classic or touch? First review your sync selections to be certain that you've actually selected more content to sync.

Try iTunes > Preferences > Devices > Reset Sync History and then try syncing once more.

If that hasn't helped try signing out of the iTunes Store on the device (if an iPod touch) and then try again.

Otherwise see this post on erratic syncing.
