AirPods Pro won't connect and can't be detected on my iPhone

Help- my airpods pro wont connect and cant be detected on my iphone. When I open the case it keeps flashing white and i press the back button for 20 seconds it does not stop flashing white. I am waiting for the orange light but it doesn’t come out.
