Why do you need an escape key on the onscreen keyboard exactly?
There's no real "escape" functionality in iOS as there is on other operating systems , so the key would do nothing,
What are you trying to accomplish?
What exactly would the "escape" key do?

have since found out that ssh clients add esc (and others) to the on screen keyboard
