Hello,
I am running a Macbook 2009 and El Capitan. I just tried to import photos from a Canon t6 camera. The Photos software recognizes all of my CR2 (Raw) photos to the thumbnail. However, it won't let me take a look at the full photo.
Unfortunately, I don't have a newer computer at the moment so I don't have access to Photoshop or Lightroom. How do I get get to look at the full photo until I get a better computer and can run Lightroom.

I have just downloaded some Canon T6 RAW files and imported them to Photos
and there is no problem viewing the images as large previews.
Make sure you are running Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6.
If not update it here,

Once downloaded double-click to install.
Also go to the App Store and see if there are any outstanding updates you need to install.
Specifically Digital Camera Raw 6.20 which includes support for the Canon T6,

You can also update further to Digital Camera Raw 6.21.
