I keep getting phone calls that tell me that my iCloud has been compromised and they have detected suspicious activity from overseas I was wondering if this is a scam call

It is without doubt a SCAM call. Apple will never "cold call" a customer with that, or any other information. You can safely ignore those calls/block the numbers.
