I'm French student in the US and I want to buy the iPhone 12 in the US before going back to France in January.
But, I would like to be sure that it will work with a french sim card on the french 5g / 4g network. It will be Orange sim card (1st network in France)

It will likely work, but be advised iPhone does NOT have International Warranty. Should you require warranty service on a US purchased phone in France, you will have to physically bring it back to the US for support. It is always recommended you purchase the phone in the country you live and will use it.
Also be certain you buy an unlocked iphone (not locked to a carrier). Safest way will be to buy it direct from Apple as unlocked.
