I'm attempting to log onto a shared computer & get the prompt "enter your name & password for the server xxx". I have tried entering the user password for both computers, doesn't work. At this point I have no idea what the password is or where to find it. Help appreciated!

Niles, check keychain access application in your utilities folder. A couple of things I would try. Repair permissions of your keychain. Hopefully you can find your password there. Look for type network password.

If it's your computer, then you should know where it is. If it is not your computer, speak to the owner to see if they are willing to share the password.
