WiFi only works after PRAM/NVRAM Reset

MacBook Air 13'' (2017), 1.8 Ghz, 8GB memory, OS 10.15.17 (Catalina)

I've been having problems with my WiFi connection for about a month already. My WiFi turns off on its own and when I try to turn it on, it won't budge. Doing the PRAM/NVRAM reset somehow fixes the problem but after a while or when my Mac goes to sleep, the same issue happens.

Thank you.

Greetings bdbournee,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! It seems Wi-Fi is disconnecting on your MacBook Air.

Restart your router, and check the results of using Wireless Diagnostics. Additionally, test to see if the issue is system-wide by testing with a different macOS user account:

If possible test while connected to a different network. If the issue continues, then seek service for your Mac:

Kind regards.
