The fan on my 2011 MacBook Pro won't stop running, serial number C0********V14 . How do I turn it off or when does it turn itself off?

Resetting SMC could solve the issue.

If it doesn't help, run Apple Hardware Test if it reports something which is related fan and thermal sensor.
