Why would my credit and debits cards disappear from Apple Wallet?

Only thing I had done was to turn off the passcode and then turn it back on. I was able to find the cards and only needed the security codes to make them visible and active in the wallet. Thank you!

If you signed out of your Apple ID / iCloud then your cards will be removed from Apple Pay on your iPhone. Double check and ensure that you are still signed in with your Apple ID and if not then sign back in. After that you will need to open the Wallet app and tap on the + sign (top right corner) and add those cards again. This time the addition will be faster because iOS will only ask you for the verification code of your card(s). The key thing is to ensure that you are logged into your Apple ID.

Great Point! Yes, removal of passcode will remove the cards as well. You are also correct that once you set the passcode then all you need are the security codes (verification codes). Glad it all worked out for you.
