I did a backup of my iPhone but not sure where to find it to make sure if it successfully saved

Settings>Your Name>iCloud>Manage Storage>Backups. Your backup will show there. Also in Settings>Your Name>iCloud>Apps using iCloud>iCloud Backup>On will show the date and time of your last backup.
