Software update failure

Everytime I try to update the iPad it goes through the whole process and tells me it is unable to update. I even factory reset the iPad and that did not work. What else can I do?

Your iPad is too far behind in iOS/iPadOS upgrades/updates.

You need to connect your iPad to a computer, like a Windows PC or older Mac running an older MacOS/macOS, connected to the Internet, running the latest iTunes and let the iTunws upgrade/update feature upgrade/update that iPad

OR

IF a newer Mac with a much newer macOS, use the macOS Finder to do the iPad upgrade/update.

Best of Luck to You!
