Passcode Issues

I have locked myself out of an iPhone 6 i used while waiting on the iPhone 12 after breaking an 11 but forgot passcode and resulted in me being locked out. I tried the restore process but it states that I will lose all data pics etc. I would really like the pics off this phone for the short time it was used but did not back it up and was unable to update/ backup since iTunes is not recognizing the phone. Am I SOL so to say or is there any way to back this up if iTunes is not recognizing the phone to perform back up before restore process?
