I receive e-mails stating Apple Support tries to call me

I receive e-mails stating Apple Support tries to call me and calls are answered by voice mail....phone does not ring ( my settings permit all calls/no one is blocked).

There are no missed calls messages and there is no voice mail message.....does Apple Support really call??

IF they do, why is there no voice message and why isn't there a missed call notification?

Hi faflash,

We understand that you're receiving some emails saying an Apple Support advisor tried to reach you, and we're happy to help. To clarify, have you recently worked with one of our phone or chat advisors, and are you expecting a callback from them? If not, it's possible that the emails you're receiving are phishing attempts. For more information on those, check out.

Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams

If you are expecting a callback from one of our advisors, is it possible that there's another phone number associated with your Apple ID account?

Please let us know, and we'll continue to help if necessary.

Best regards!
