Just using it with your iPhone isn’t pairing mode. You need to make the speaker discoverable so the Mac can find it. If there’s a Bluetooth button on the speaker, press and hold it. Or turn it off then press and hold the power button for a while. Those are common ways, check the instructions for the speaker.

Yes it is and I use it daily with my iPhone, when I turn the Bluetooth on and off from my computer and have it attempt to discover it doesn't find it. Thank you

Thank you, you nailed it I had to hold 2 buttons down on my speaker.
