If I purchased Apple care for my new iPhone 8 months ago, but want to upgrade again, can I transfer that Apple care plan to my new phone?

This is primarily a user-to-user support forum; other Apple users like you. I don't have any information to calculate that (what country you’re in, how much you paid, whether you've had any claims, etc) but you can calculate it using the information below from Cancel or change the payment method for your AppleCare plan - Apple Support

  • If you cancel your AppleCare plan more than 30 days after your purchase, you’ll get a refund based on the percentage of unexpired AppleCare plan coverage, minus the value of any service already provided.*
