Apple AirPlay and mirroring never connects

Apple mirroring and airplay are horrid. Nothing ever connects. Any insight?

I tried the usual things Apple suggests - turn off and on (1985 solution), latest updates, same WiFi. To clarify I have this problem with the last east iPhone, an IPad, a new Apple MacBook Air and 2 Apple TV’s. My friends who have Samsung or other computers and phones never have a problem with Bluetooth

AirPlay uses WiFi so please ensure you are on the same network on both devices and you have bandwidth to handle your AirPlay needs. Also please remember not all providers allow AirPlay to be used to stream their content . For example I believe ESPN has limitations as does HBO so if there is specific content that does not work, please check with the provider.

Thanks I checked all the usual pitfalls. I also have trouble even connecting Bluetooth plug speakers for gym. It just doesn’t connect smoothly or well at all and I’ve been an Apple customer for close to 10 years. It’s the one area that lets the product down in my opinion.
