My notes gone no deleted files showing in I cloud even though settings has notes being saved

My notes have vanished nothing showing in deleted files even though settings show I am saving in I cloud

iPhone 6, iOS 12

Hey there! Sorry to hear that.


Hope it’s just a setting change, if it is, do you know if you sync Notes with multiple accounts?


Depending on your iOS version, can you check Settings:


Passwords and Accounts, or

Notes > Accounts


If you have more than one account on your device, you may be able to put a check mark next to Notes in its settings.


Or if for whatever reason, the account is missing on your device, you can re add it to access the content.


Hope that’s the case, otherwise, do you normally keep a backup?:

If so, you can restore the backup to hopefully get the notes back:


https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/restore-all-content-from-a-backup-iph1624229a/ios


Just to note, if certain data is stored only in iCloud or another provider’s cloud service, that data is usually not stored in the backup file, as it’s already saved to the cloud.


I’d check this out as well if you haven’t, although it seems you’ve already checked Recently Deleted, I’d check the web site anyhow:

Likewise, are these same notes on any other devices? Or were they? Such as a Mac? If you have other backups of other devices, that may also be the key to recovery, hope it goes okay!
