Connecting a 2019 MacBook Pro with a 2014 MacBook Air through the Thunderbolt port

Can I connect the two computers with a cable so that I can use the 2014 as a second screen? I've been looking around online and finding conflicting information, so I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone has actually done it or knows for sure.


Also, is there a cable that can connect the two through the Thunderbolt/UCB-C connector?

As far as I know Target Display Mode is only possible with iMacs and that support is limited.
