Start page numbers on the second page in Pages??

I'm trying to add page numbers to a document with the second page in the document being page 1. I can't figure out how to do this because apparently in this document I can't use sections (it's a "page layout" document or something??) Is it possible to do this without sections??

Click on the first-page thumbnail and from the Format panel, unset Match Previous page, and do not enter a page number. Click the second-page thumbnail, and then insert the page number on that page. It will show 2, and will not appear on the first page.
