Mirror feature quit working

I was streaming a video on my iPad (ios 14.3) to my Apple TV when I suddenly got the "wi-fi disabled until tomorrow" message. After playing around with the settings in Control Center, I got my wi-fi re-established and my bluetooth turned back on. However, when I turned on the mirror feature again to send the video from my iPad to my Apple TV, it won't display the video on the TV. Anybody know how to make the mirror feature work again? Control Center says it's mirroring to the Apple TV, but it's not.
