Not receiving new messages (texts) on MacBook Air M1

Problem solved. Mystery settings in iPhone to indicate where to Forward messages.

Hi,

I've been setting up a new MBA (M1). Have had a couple hiccups, but this one has me stumped.

I enabled messaging with my iCloud account, and it downloaded all the conversations, but I'm not getting any new messages. I've tried signing out and back in to iCloud to no effect.

My phone and iPad both see new messages, so I think the problem is confined to the MBA.

Anyone see problems like this?
