Detecting/Deleting Malicious Files

Hi everyone. I have a pop-up virus (adware/malware i don't know) on my Macbook Air 2017 and I use Mojave 10.14. I have no idea how this came into my computer. I detect LinkBranch and I tried to delete it. I do not want to use any applications which are not on AppStore. I already clean all extensions, apps, cookies etc. But now I have to clean folders like LaunchDaemons, LaunchAgents etc. I don't know which files are malicious in these files. I suspect some of them,

In Application Support;

  • regid.1986-12.com.adobe
  • SubmitDiagInfo (which is empty)

LaunchDaemons;

  • com.microsoft.office.licensingV2.helper
  • com.polytheism
  • com.sandlogdaemon
  • com.X0wp5

LaunchAgents;

  • com.bc20
  • com.agyrate.fr
  • com.Peoria_korimako

Are these malicious or not? If not, what should I do?

I again do not want to use anything which are not on the AppStore. You may suggest AntiVirus programs but they may be an another adware too at the end.

Thank you for your help!

Hi there hlyco_1,

From what we can tell, you're seeing a pop-up on your Mac that may have been related to malware and you're asking if some files are malicious or not. We're glad you've joined us in Apple Support Communities, and we can provide some guidance.

"If you think that you might have malware or adware on your Mac, update to the latest version of macOS. If your Mac is already running the latest version, restart it. macOS includes a built-in tool that removes known malware when you restart your Mac. Check your Applications folder to see if you have any apps that you didn’t expect and uninstall them. You can also check the Extensions tab in Safari preferences to check if you installed any unnecessary extensions that you'd prefer to turn off." Have a look at the support articles below for more information:

With that said, you shouldn't need any third-party security software to protect your Mac from malware. The links below provide more guidance:

Cheers.
