do your imessage group chats get notified if you change your number? please tell me they don’t (my one chat didn’t just want to make sure)

If you are joined to the chat with your email address rather than your phone number you will remain in the chat if you change your phone number.
oh i think i’m not maybe i can still see it cause it’s saved in my phone right?
Go to Settings/Messages and tap on Send & Receive. Which entry is checked for sending?
my phone number but i used to have both i think, but my contacts only had my number
so if i’m still in the group chat does that mean they can see my email
Ask someone in the group privately what they see for your ID.
we’re not on very good terms but thank you, at least they can’t see my new number so it’s good
