USB-C Multiport Adapter (A1620) compatible with iPad (8th Gen)?

Is there any reason why the A1620 USB-C Multiport Adapter will not function on an iPad 8th Gen?

The online specs don’t list this device specifically.

I want to be able to archive old project files onto a flash drive to clear Cloud space for current work only.

Anyone tested this?

An iPad8 has a Lightning port - and not a USB-C port as found on the 2020 iPad Air and 2018/2020 models of iPad Pro.


As such, the USB-C Multi-port Adapter is not compatible with iPad8.


If you are attempting to connect USB storage devices to an iPad8, you instead require a Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter:
