iPhone volume while using AirPlay

I have an iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 14.4.1.

I usually have my ringer volume (set to essentially where the “r” is on the display. While sending music to my home speaker mini my ringer volume seems to magically be Max. If I try to play a game or watch a video the sound is usually where ever I left it prior to using AirPlay.

How can I adjust game/video volume and/or ringer volume on my device while not changing AirPlay volume?

Thanks for getting in touch, Benjamin Jacob!

It sounds like you're having some difficulty with your volume settings not working as you expected. We can help.

Go ahead and give the steps in Adjust the volume on iPhone a try, in particular the section "Lock the ringer and alert volumes in Settings" and see if there is any improvement afterward.

Take care.
