I think the big country of origin issue for warranty repairs only applies to mobile devices.
Yes, there's some for Macs here:
https://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/products/mac-english.html
"Apple reserves the right to change the method by which Apple may provide warranty service to you, and your Apple Product's eligibility to receive a particular method of service. Service will be limited to the options available in the country where service is requested. Service options, parts availability and response times may vary according to country. You may be responsible for shipping and handling charges if the Apple Product cannot be serviced in the country it is in. If you seek service in a country that is not the country of purchase, you will comply with all applicable import and export laws and regulations and be responsible for all custom duties, V.A.T. and other associated taxes and charges. For international service, Apple may repair or replace products and parts with comparable products and parts that comply with local standards."
But there's none of this that applies to mobile devices:
http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/products/iphone-english.html
"IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE AND iPAD SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device." Which is generally taken as "will".
I am also not sure about the credit cards accepted being an issue. Apple must do a lot of sales to overseas visitors, and this is the Apple Store, not the App or iTunes Store*. I haven't bought anything in an Apple Store overseas but I know when I travel abroad there is no problem using my USA credit card in stores, nor have I seen any posts from people here complaining about not being able to buy things with credit cards in Apple Stores and we must have a fair number of people from other countries trying to do that. The main issue is Apple won't ship overseas, but I don't think there's any problem with you paying for anything either online or in a store and then picking it up here and using a credit card to do that.
*Even for those stores there is no statement anywhere on Apple's site saying you have to use a USA card, just "Most credit and debit cards" are accepted. (Payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID - https://support.apple.com/HT202631)
In fact if anything, what Apple actually states is: "Make sure that the billing address for your payment method matches the billing address for your Apple ID. In some cases, you might need to call your bank or financial institution to authorize international or online purchases. " - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202631 which to me would imply you can use foreign cards in the USA, the main limitation is that most of these will have non-US billing addresses. Of course this is where you have to read Apple's documentation with precise interpretation.
That may be up to the store manager and if they accept your Russian student ID. I remember back in my student days there was an ISIC student ID system which was supposedly an international student ID recognition document you could carry with you for student verification outside your home country. Still, the USA is pretty parochial when it comes to things and I don't know if they would even recognize that (I remember going into a USA bank with my USA passport and they wouldn't accept it as identification -- they insisted upon a drivers license which is actually a lot easier to fake!)
AFAIK, the educational discounts for Macs purchased in the US, require that you attend a US-based educational institution. However, as Limos has mentioned, you may find an Apple Store manager open to providing a similar type of discount so it doesn't hurt to ask. Also, if you plan on purchasing this at either an online or physical Apple Store in the US, they typically only accept US-based credit cards.
Finally, if you have any issues with this notebook and it needs to be repaired, it would have to be sent back to the US for those repairs at your cost.
Thanks Limnos, I keep getting this a bit mixed up and appreciate your comments ... and apologies to the OP.
Yeah, nothing like a relaxing afternoon reading Apple's T&C. :-D
