How do I restore the backed up data from the backup disk. (I did the backup using Time Machine). Thanks

Are you doing a Complete Restore - Boot in to Recovery Mode - Command + r ) immediately at Startup. Several Options are presented - Attach TM Drive to computer and Choose Restore from Backup. It will wipe the drive and Restore.


If doing a Selective File(s) Restore - with the TM Drive attached - select the TM Icon on Desktop and click Open. It will present another windows and select a Time when the file(s) existed and click the file(s) and Restore.
