Constant data breaches

Why oh why do I have data breaches and have to change my password on every app? This is the fourth time in 8 months of having this phone.

Data breaches don’t happen on the phone. They happen to sites that you visit or apps that you use. There is nothing that you can do about it, other than give up using the sites that have been breached.

If you reuse passwords on a regular basis the chances of a breach are much more likely, because a breach on one site can be reported as a breach on other sites where you used that password that have not been hacked.

How to keep track of passwords? Use a password manager. Apple iCloud Keychain. iCloud Keychain is integrated across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and works well. Other password managers are available, and others can provide password managers for computers running Windows and other systems.

I should have asked How does one remember all the different usernames and password combinations if you use different ones for each app?

I don’t let the phone remember each one.

Certaim apps (Venmo!) each time I download it I get the security warning ⛔️ ⚠️ Then have to change every app on my phone. It pulls every username and password not just one. It’s happened four times in the 6 months I’ve had this phone but yet never happened on the other iPhones I’ve had. Just this one 🤬. I’ve had my credit cards, debit card canceled by my bank after this too. It’s been ultra aggravating. Thanks for taking the time to respond
