I have tried to set up my new debit card but this is not working
my expired card has been renewed

Why not? What is happening when you try?
In general, Renewed cards should be automatically updated in Apple Pay by the bank or card issuer.
If it's not updated, then you will have to remove the existing card, and add the new one.
