Combining them is not an option. So, leave feedback to Apple on this, recommending that this be an option.

So, Provide the Feedback:

Go Here: Feedback - macOS - Apple
Select: "Feature Request" for the "Feedback Type"
Select: "Other" for the "Feedback Area"
Comment: on why you think this is a good idea to use, and how it can help many others.
Proceed from there as necessary
