You can check the health of your battery yourself.
On your iPhone, go to:
Settings -> Battery -> Battery Health. In Maximum Capacity you can see how many % capacity your battery has left.
If it is around 80%, it is time to have the battery serviced / replaced.

It is quite normal after an update that the phone uses noticeably more power.
New files need to be loaded, others need to be removed and things just need to fall into place. Remember to restart your iPhone once in a while and see if the battery life is not back to normal in a week's time.
