IOS 14.5.1 No Sim after update

I have a new XR, was working fine till today morning. Received the 14.5.1 update and after that the SIM card is no longer working. I get a No Sim message in the Notification Top Bar and there is no signal and no voice calls can be made.

Now the interesting bit. The same SIM card works fine in all other phones, including other Iphones and Android phones.

Even more interesting is that any other SIM works just fine if I put it in my Iphone XR. So it is really weird. It seems my Iphone XR doesn't like my SIM and is okay with any other SIM cards.

I have tried all the troubleshooting steps with Apple Support including a full reset of the Iphone XR but the issue remains.

Talked to the carrier (Airtel, India) and they confirmed that the SIM is functioning properly.

All this happened after the 14.5.1 update today morning.

Anybody has any suggestions.
