Deleting apps and resetting old iPhone

First; sign out from your icloud account on your old device, so there will be no connection between old iphone and your account/new iphone.

Then what you are about to do is only gonna affect the device itself.

Make sure to sign out from your account. After signing out, consider turning off wifi as an extra precaution.
