Moving Imovie library to onedrive...?

Apparently it's possible to move an imovie library to an "external drive"

https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT203049

But is possible to move it to OneDrive? My Mac is set up to believe that OneDrive is a kind of storage you see seamlessly in Finder. It's a company setup. I would think of doing this only for archive/less active projects where I might want to copy over the occasional resource to a new library.

Anyone dared try this? What happened?

thanks

OneDrive is a cloud service and so you cannot store an iMovie on it.

iMovie must be stored on a physical drive that is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled) or APFS.

I have no idea whether this would work but as with most things in life it is probably worth trying.

Control (right) click on the Library and select "Compress" from the contextual menu.

Once uploaded you won't be able to access it directly but you can always download it to your Mac and open it in iMovie.

You could test this quickly with a small ("Test") Library to see how well it works.
