I bought a Mac Mini Sept 2020, switched on once, and I must have set a password which I have now forgotten. The password hint means nothing to me, and I am not offered any other options. Any ideas would be much appreciated. I am a windows user, so new to Mac.

Sorry this won't work for me as I am not connected to the internet until I get logged on. The screen goes straight to login and does not offer me any other options except the "Password hint" which as I said earlier means nothing to me. Is there a key I can press as the system starts up to allow me onto the background of the system?
