On my Apple 7 I was able to double click the home button and clear out previous pages I went to during the day. I need to know how to do that with an Apple 11 Please

On my iPhone 7 I was able to push the home button twice to clear out any pages or apps I had opened that day. I need to know how to do that on a iPhone 11

Thanks

iPhone 11, iOS 14

That was never something that Apple recommended unless it was needed to resolve a problem. The current method is described below from Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support

You should close an app only if it’s unresponsive. The way you close an app depends on the type of device that you have. Find your iPhone or iPod touch model below, then follow the steps. Or learn how to close an app on your iPad.

iPhone X and later

  1. From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.
  2. Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.
  3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.
