no backup to icloud or itune and phone has been reset to factory settings. How do I restore my data

I had to reset my phone to factory settings after the Apple logo would not leave my screen. The reset wiped out all my information and I don't have icloud or itunes backup. First time iphone user

Unfortunately you are learning the hard way about the importance of back-ups. Without a back-up, you have nothing to restore your data from. So you will be starting from scratch. You aren't the first and certainly won't be the last to learn this lesson. I would add that the safest place for a back-up is on your computer or an external drive. Good Luck!
