Deleting Health app

Apple says you cant delete the Health App. I find it creepy that it tracks the steps I take. Does it send that data to Apple?

Why is it creepy, it's an health app, same thing if you bought one of those exercise watch.

Why would Apple want to know how many steps you've taken, is it really important to them to collect that?

I don’t like the inaccuracy because my phone isn’t with me all the time so why bother? It looks like I’m sitting around all day I was concerned because I thought. My watch was still connected or paired somehow. Thanks for asking this question.

Thanks Sberman for answering.
