iPhone 8 dropped cell network, now won't activate at all

Woke up to an iPhone 8, iOS 14something, wouldn't find the cellular network, sim card works in other phones.

Restarted phone, still no go, backed up phone on computer.

Updated iOS to latest version, still not working on cell network, backed up phone again.

Restored iPhone via computer to reset, now the phone won't activate at all as a new device.

Removed activation status via iCloud. Phone still won't activate.

Placed into DFU mode and re-installed latest iOS again, still won't activate/

Now have bricked working electronic device that won't respond past "please activate this device"

Any clues ?
