Apple TV remote / Apple TV remote app problem

My Apple TV remote doesn’t work now with its parent APPLE TV (HD, 2015) device. Worst, even the “Apple TV remote app” on my IPad (2018) is useless because navigation doesn’t work. Why? I hope iOS update comes to fix the “Apple TV remote app” on my iPad.
