Auto-rotation

How do I prevent auto-rotate? It happens all the time


At the most inconvenient time.

Thank you for posting in Apple Support communities. We understand that you are wanting to turn off auto rotate. We would love to provide you support with this. 


To turn off auto rotate follow these steps: Swipe up from the bottom to display the control center quick menu> locate the icon that looks like a pad lock with a circular arrow around it> to lock it tap it once and it will change its color indicating its locked so that your screen no longer rotates>swipe down to remove the control center.


To turn auto rotate back on just use the same steps and when you tap the lock the color will change indicating the rotate feature is engaged.
