As far as iPadOS upgrades, version 12 is as high as it will go.

As far as iPadOS upgrades, version 12 is as high as it will go.
Technically, Apple has still supported this iPad with ONLY point security updates.
This is why iOS 12 has reached iOS 12.5.4.
The last full major update of iOS 12 was in 2019 and was iOS 12.4.6, if my memory serves.
A large portion of third party apps are still supporting iOS 12 devices, but look for this support to dwindle into 2022.
