Updating Apps After Changing AppleID This is still broken in iOS 15.4.1 (April 2022), despite functional Family Sharing (we switched from a shared AppleID to separate AppleIDs with Family Sharing). App Store insists on signing in with the old AppleID before allowing updates, despite enabled purchase sharing. The only workaround mentioned is to remove all ~50 apps then add them again under the new AppleID, a royal pain. Uhm, why? Is there an easier workaround to restore automatic app updates?

The App Store says I cannot update this app app has been purchased by my family member and shared with me. I used it for some time, but then disabled family function. I want to purchase app myself now, but App Store is offering me only to upgrade previous version and then tells me that app is no longer shared by my family. How do I purchase this app? There is no buy option and even price is not visible. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Are you a part of Family Sharing? If you are then you are not the organizer. When you attempt to purchase an app then the Organizer will be notified and presented with a prompt to either approve your purchase or decline it.
