forgot passcode on ipod
I found an ipod in a boat we purchased, it has a passcode on it. Is there anyway to factory reset this ipod?

Almost certainly as part of what you need to do will involve entering the Apple ID and password of the owner. You're encountering something related to this:

If you do not know the required information and you are not the original owner, get the owner of the account to remove the lock or return the device for a refund or recycle it. The device is otherwise useless to you.
