Contact names disappeared

Wondering if you use iCloud, and if your Contacts in iCloud have both names and numbers.

If so, you might want to:

Restore contacts, calendars, bookmarks and more using iCloud.com

Wondering too, if your iPhone may be short on storage space.

If so, you might need to save some photos, videos, music etc, ro an external storage device (Hard drive, Zip drive)

My contact names on my iphone are missing. There are there on my ipad but not the phone. How do I get them back. Also in the text app they are missing as well.
